Occasionally, early depictions of sneaker releases capture the final product accurately, but that is far from the case with the Los Angeles boutique’s latest NIKE, Inc. collaboration. The bulk of the model’s upper is dipped in a light grey tone that takes on varying shades across suede and canvas materials. Perforations across the profiles inject new design D.N.A. into Bruce Kilgore’s creation, as do the Air Jordan 13-like “dimples” along the ankle panels. The Chris Gibbs-led institution also adds “vintage” detailing to Michael Jordan’s second signature sneaker by way of the slightly-yellowed laces, co-branded tongue labels and non-standard production tag on the lateral collar.
