NIPPON MADE series
GSM™ NM shoes with a vintage expression created through artisan craftsmanship
The name GSM™ comes from the initials of “Game, Set, Match.” Inspired by tennis shoes from the 1980s, the classic court-type shoe design is reinterpreted through the careful craftsmanship of Japanese artisans. The clean silhouette creates a refined balance.
The upper uses goat suede with a fine nap and soft texture. Cow leather with a flat surface is used for the Onitsuka Tiger Stripes, highlighting the contrast between the different materials.
After the shoes are completed, artisans apply bleaching and washing processes to each pair. These processes bring out naturally faded tones and creases, creating a vintage-like expression that appears worn in. As the processing is performed by hand, each pair has a unique finish.
・Hand-applied bleaching and washing processes
・FLYTEFOAM™ PROPEL midsole with excellent rebound
・fuzeGEL in the heel for excellent cushioning
・OrthoLite X-40® sockliner with excellent rebound
・Made in Japan
*As the bleaching and washing processes are applied by hand after the shoes are completed, variations may occur in fading, creasing, shape, and the finish of the processing.
*The processing may cause the upper to shrink, and the shoes may initially feel smaller than the indicated size. Trying on the shoes before purchase is recommended.
About the “NIPPON MADE” series
The “NIPPON MADE” series started in 2008 with the idea of sharing the quality of Japanese craftsmanship once again as a Japanese brand. Through fine materials, attention to detail, and high quality backed by artisan skills, the series expresses the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship that has been passed down over time.
