The Jordan 1 Low Light Curry takes its inspiration from Nike's past releases: the Dunk Low “Ceramic.” The orange color of this sneaker is just a bit brighter from the Ceramic Dunk Low. The laces on this pair match the color of the shoe, the upper is made out of white canvas base with orange suede overlays.

The Nike Swooshes on The Jordan 1 Low Light Curry are visible in olive green suede, and the latter hue repeat appearances on the interior collar, while the Jumpman logo is visible on the tongue of the shoe. A second Jumpman Logo is also visible on the insoles, while the Wings logo is seen on the heel tab of the pair. To provide a sticky traction, the shoe has a gum rubber outsole.

The Air Jordan 1 Low was originally released in several colourways, mirroring the High releases and served as a casual take on the signature high-top. Apart from basketball players, there was another group who immediately took to the AJ1 Low – skateboarders. The skateboarders found that the low-top was more comfortable for tricks.
