Upon its founding, Japan’s TIGHTBOOTH wasn’t quite what it is today. Established by pro skateboarder Shinpei Ueno back in 2005, the crew originally made a name for themselves filming skate videos, “LENZ” being one of their most popular productions. Clothing came not long after, and now the brand operates at the intersection of fashion and skateboarding.
The TIGHTBOOTH x Nike SB Dunk Low employs an understated scheme that’s essentially the inverse of the ubiquitous “Panda” colorway. A matte black material is applied to the unders, while white leathers bearing a steel plate reminiscent texture wrap the shoe over top. What’s more, the Swoosh features a reflective finish; the fat tongue is dressed in “TIGHTBOOTH” branding and a dotted pattern; and orange highlights mark the logo tab as well as a couple of the internal fixtures.
