The late Peter Moore’s Nike Dunk Low design has proven to be as versatile as it gets, having emerged in hundreds of styles since 1985. As the shoe continues to form an important part of the company’s lineup of product, it keeps celebrating kids.
Recently, the made-for-basketball silhouette emerged in a “Baltic Blue,” “Volt,” “Black” and “Multi-Color” ensemble. And while eye-catching in its own right, the aforementioned color scheme makes the biggest statement with the acid wash-reminiscent detailing that lands atop the overlays across the forefoot, along the tongue and around the heel. Design inspiration hasn’t been shared by any of the parties involved, but it’s possible the latest Nike Dunk looks to old school rock albums and style for its outfit given the updated “Nike” text on the tongue label and sock-liner. Nevertheless, the “Volt”-accented sneaker helps expand the already-impressive catalog of the late Moore’s creation from 37 years ago.
